Enjoy the famous corn from Pete Murray’s Corn Farm & Golden Ears Farm, local farmer’s market vendors, concession, children’s activities, music in the Joyce Dunn Amphitheatre and the ever popular corn husk dolls. The Heat Junior B Hockey Team got its start in March of 2010 when a group of community minded hockey lovers met with the goal of scoring a franchise in the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL).  The first shot at it was turned down by the League, you might say we were shutout, after the HEAT Jr. Hockey Society had been incorporated.  Not to be deterred the Society reapplied and received approval from the KIJHL and BC Hockey to commence with the 2011-12 season.  The goal now is to work towards being the best franchise in the League from top to bottom…we know we have the loudest and best fans!!!  Chase is a cool Village with a hot on ice product!
