BCWF's Wetlandkeepers Courses are two 1/2 day workshops that educate participants about wetland conservation!

Upon a community request, BCWF brings the Wetlandkeepers Course to covers topics of interest to community stewardship groups, this can include:

wetland mapping
wetland hydrology
plant identification
soil sampling
wetland bird surveying
shoreline wetland protection

This is a hands-on fieldwork course that provides participants will technical skills to steward their own wetland. Upon completion of the workshop participants are provided with a Wetlandkeeper certificate, and provided with follow up support by the Wetlands Coordinator.

The Carlin Country Market is a fundraiser for the Carlin School, but we have created an amazing community event, first and foremost.  We have a huge indoor garage sale and book sale, a plant sale, an open-air market with over 20 vendors, raffles, historical displays and demonstrations, gardening demonstrations, a full-on kids carnival with bouncy houses, face painting, games and prizes, and a dunk tank!  Also on site are two entertainment stages, a full concession, Jaws of Life demonstration, show and shine, emergency vehicles, and this year we are excited to have Shuswap Remote Control with demo vehicles to try out!  There is something for everyone, and we welcome the public throughout the Okanagan/Shuswap to join our fun.  

Free shuttle provided, to get you up the hill from the parking!  Donations for the garage sale, bottle drive, plant sale and book sale are still being gratefully accepted!

Admission is by donation.

Carlin School is located on Highway 1, halfway between Salmon Arm and Sorrento (4005 Myers Frontage Rd., Tappen, BC)
